Tried to do a slow and steady swim last night, fail. 9 minutes in peak. oh well. 10.3 METs, 146 average heart rate, 846 strokes. didn't like where I put the solar lights initially (from inside the house) so tried stringing them up on the umbrellas to see if that was a better placement and I think I do like it better. need to buy some taller 4x4's and will run with that, although I may have some galvanized steel pipe I can repurpose. gotta think about this. I want it cheap and easy.
hoping to get rid of some more donations toady, with all of the buildings going in downtown, all of my favorite drop offs are now concrete and glass condos. and not just one. like three different ones. the big one is much further away and subject to beach crowds, so may need to wait until Friday morning and just do it then. oh wait, that's a holiday weekend Friday, maybe not. argh. I don't want to drive more than once today. I have an SUV and gas is $6/gallon.
sitting outside for breakfast as long as I can. it'll get unbearably hot soon enough. the birds are still flitting about. I finally found the nest for the hooded Orioles in the front, I wish them the best of luck and hope all the babies make it this year. my hummingbirds are crazy still. now that I know what to look for, I've amassed a collection of tiny iridescent feathers. I keep them in the case with my glasses. I need to figure out something pretty to do with them. there's a place where they blow glass in the park, I may ask them for ideas. I'd do acrylic, but I have some beautiful butterfly wings a friend gifted me and the acrylic turned yellow over time so they're ruined. actually, BF works with plastics, I should ask if I can buff it out and repolish or something like that. this is why I need to sit down in the mornings. super deep thinking moments. durp.
after coffee weight, totally skewed, not gonna worry about it. might toss in a quick row this morning and then toss on a dress so I can scare BF by pretending we're late for something. kinda want to see how bad the beach crowds are by my favorite little fish place.
