I think I am back on track - I feel good. My daughter's musical is over - now we can get back to the "normality" of our schedule without rehearsals and costume checks daily!
I stayed up late last night eating junk at two different potluck dinners - it was all yummy! But I limited what I ate, and I have a lower weigh in than yesterday, so here I go!
The tradition for the high school musical is that someone buys gifts for the director, the teachers who help out, and the senior students whose last play it is - this year was my 4th year doing the gift-buying and probably the last! I haven't ruled out working with the costume director, though - her son is graduating from college: "It's actually easier to do the costumes if you DON'T have your own child in the show" - ha! right! I'm a pushover though - I told her to call me next spring for the show - "I'll either get a really good laugh out of it or help you out!" - so I am not ruling out helping since I do like the costume director. She became a doctor in her early 40's - she has been encouraging me to explore a new career so it's fun to hang out with her.
My current job involves a lot of sitting around, but that is by my choice - I get breaks, and I keep thinking I'll get out and walk one of these days. I'll cogitate on that for tomorrow and the rest of the week and see if I get inspired - although there is rain, rain, rain! in the forecast so I don't know!
