Day 1 of a planned 3 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting

My second day of ‘water fasting’ was a breeze. I was careful to only have sugar free powder creamer in my coffee. That’s it. Fasts are easy if I have no calories.

I am sure the scale would have moved if I ran or worked out at the gym. I plan to run and workout every day starting tomorrow.

Agreed on the no calories during fasts being easier. My last 2 days of no calorie during fasting up until dinner were easier ( OMAD ). Keep going.

@Keilin_4 - Since I didn't run I should have just done a "Dry Fast'! ...Perhaps next week...

Every time I try water fasting I fail, because I drink my decaf coffee, and then I say why do not add a little bit of coffee cream? less than 50 calories will not hurt, but then I want the cake with my coffee and so on 🤦‍♀️🤣

@Keilin_4 - For some reason the powder sugar free creamer does not 'set off hunger' in me. However, ANY other creamer or 'heavy cream' does.

Start with 12-16 hours, the first time you will feel really thirsty, but then you get used to it.

@chesgreen - Even though the scale did not 'move' like I wanted to, the fact that I went two days of 'resetting things' makes me feel *really good* 'mentally' :) I am sure you get the same when you get in a good OMAD (One Meal A Day). Also, Dr. Fung would 'totally' approve of what you are doing.

I remember me, doing my dry fasting for faster weight loss before and getting discouraged if the scale didn't respond, now that my goal is different, I keep going even if I gain weight fasting. At the end the scale will move.

I am going to find that sugar free creamer. Mine is dairy free , but I think that it does have sugar.

Very many "sugar free" coffee powders have corn syrup in them. Just a heads up. Glad that went so well.

@liv001, @liamcarty - I am definitely taking in some 'carbs'. I am only concerned with 'hunger' when fasting. The calories or the 'purity' of the fast is something I just have to 'let go' and accept that I can 'only do the best I can' :)

Glad your fast went well. Interesting how the different forms of creamers affect you. Maybe since you consume so much of it during your no solid food fast, your brain is expecting more 😅

@CrashtestDawnie - Also, I definitely feel that my body is used to my 'eating pattern' and has adjusted. So If I don't do the expected running it wont do the 'usual loss'.
