I had a very good eating day. I am pround. I step on the scale. It says: You gained 2 POUNDS. All I can think is "Why did I not eat chips?"

This is precisely why I decided to weigh less often. I was so obsessive I could predict when it would not reflect going over my calories and when it would probably show a gain so why the hell not "enjoy it" and eat what I want anyway. Fewer weigh-ins meant fewer chances to pay attention to these minor changes, play silly games with myself and justify stuff.

I lost 0.6 lb eating chips last night so perhaps the universe is at a tipping point liv 🤷‍♂️

That's crazy. Look at how close you were to your goal. The scale is mean.

Typical scale .. that happens to me .. so depressing.. it's usually after you really thought you did excellent all week with food and exercise... you get a let down like that..

We must remember that if we don’t see results on the scales some weeks it’s not a bad thing as your body could be reshaping try stay positive it’s hard going at times.

It can be so irritating even when you know it isn't reflective of the truth- even more so in that situation, I think. Just what Petra said- a whoosh is on its way.

I know the feeling! Been on a stall. After my 3 mile walk yesterday I stepped on the scale said I lost 2 pounds. I was like yay. Hubby and I went ti the neighbors. I had a glass of wine about a half cup of rice and chiick and shrimp curry. Finished it off with a piece of home made cake. Was being very careful. I weighed myself this morning, bam 4 pounds more back on. So I know it could be water weight but gosh seeing that makes your heart fall. I have been trying to lose this weight for about 4 years at several attempts. This time I am trying to stay focused.
